TerraSpark among five mission partners announced by Dcubed

TerraSpark is among five international partners that will join Dcubed's upcoming ARAQYS-D3 mission, marking a key step toward demonstrating in-space power generation and transmission capabilities.

TerraSpark has been selected as one of five international mission partners for Dcubed's ARAQYS-D3 mission, with a SpaceX launch anticipated as early as February 2027. The satellite platform will be provided by Astro Digital. Alongside TerraSpark, the mission will host power transmission payloads from Volta Space Technologies (Canada/USA) and ORiS (Europe/Italy). The mission will demonstrate both optical and radio frequency power transmission on a single flight.

TerraSpark will demonstrate a European-first radio frequency-based wireless power transmission in space, sending power from a shoebox-sized transmitter to a laptop-sized receiver across the host spacecraft. A bank of white LEDs captured by an onboard camera will indicate successful power transmission. The ARAQYS-D3 mission builds toward scalable in-orbit power generation, laying the groundwork for Power-as-a-Service (PaaS).

TerraSpark CEO Jasper Deprez noted that less than a year after the company was founded as an idea, it has secured a confirmed trip to space with flight hardware already being completed.
